IT Portlink: a specialist in Malaysian port engineering

ITP is a privately held Malaysian technical company specializing in port engineering and equipment services. It has extensive project experience across Malaysian and Asia-Pacific port development, including infrastructure, cargo-handling system integration and automation upgrades. Its understanding of Southeast Asian operating environments and flexible local service capability have made ITP an important link between advanced global port technologies and regional demand.

On site: seeing the adaptive breakthrough

At DEEPLOCK's Nanjing test facility, the delegation watched the engineering prototype in operation. The R&D team demonstrated the adaptive gripper's compatibility with single-wire, double-wire, fully automatic and semi-automatic twistlocks — overcoming the industry's “one lock, one machine” limitation. The team also demonstrated AI-guided 3D positioning in complex conditions and intelligent integration with the terminal operating system.

During the demonstration, the chairman asked detailed questions about technical specifications, operating-condition adaptability and maintenance costs, and expressed strong recognition of the solution developed for complex Asia-Pacific port environments.

Technology leadership meets regional reach

Backed by the R&D capabilities of its Nanjing center, DEEPLOCK has developed an intelligent twistlock system with fully independent intellectual property. The system has already drawn attention from leading international port operators including PSA and is progressing through CE and UKCA certification for global market entry.

ITP's visit reflects the attention Chinese intelligent-manufacturing technology is receiving in Malaysian port engineering. With regional project experience and business networks, ITP can provide a valuable localized commercialization channel and engineering support for DEEPLOCK in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Taking the Chinese solution to Asia-Pacific

The two sides held detailed discussions on commercialization of intelligent port equipment across Asia-Pacific. ITP sees strong potential in DEEPLOCK's ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce labor costs, and looks forward to bringing advanced Chinese port-automation technology to Malaysia and the wider region.

DEEPLOCK will continue to develop complete port-automation solutions with partners such as ITP, using technology innovation to support more efficient, safer and more intelligent global port logistics.

The two parties will continue discussions on specific cooperation models and equipment trials.
